Advocacy

Advocacy is how we can actively change the world of homelessness, to make a better life and greater hope fore those who see so little hope.
There are many way we can advocate to end homelessness, as seen below:
- Write letters to your local newspaper advocating housing for low-income people in your community.
- Read a guide on advocacy.
- Visit your Congress representatives to express your concerns. Take friends -- many friends!
- Find out about upcoming legislation on homelessness (and other justice issues) by using Congress' own THOMAS search tool. Click here and enter "homelessness" in the "Search THOMAS" field, then click GO.
- Let local officials know they should support agencies helping the homeless!
We will alert you to advocacy issues as they arise, so watch this space.
