Stories of Hope
Timka Graduates

Timka Robertson is a single Mom with a strong will and a story of hope! The Timika Robertson Family joined us at Providence House on November 10, 2005. Timika and her two children, Leonardo Robertson, age 9, and Tierra Robertson, age 5, became homeless due to domestic violence. Timika quickly completed the Pathways to Success program, which allowed her to enter our apartment on-site program, Project Next Step, on July 11, 2006. She particularly enjoyed participating
in Life Skills and the Educational Hour, adding that Providence House has helped her overcome her fear of failure.
Timika states, “I’m willing to do whatever it takes without the fear of failure stopping me.” She noted that Leonardo and Tierra loved Providence House; they were happy, alert and learning. They participated in our summer program at SPAR and Lake Bethlehem.
Timika is currently employed as a McDonald’s team member, and contemplates entering McDonald’s University for management training or furthering her education. While in the program, Timika saved $1,617.75 in her resettlement fund, and $900.00 in her graduation fund.
